Size Guide
ONE SIZE HATS ARE MADE TO COMFORTABLY FIT XS TO L -

To find your hat size, wrap a soft measuring tape around your head at the spot where you’d like the hat to sit—snug but not tight. Make sure the tape lies flat and level all the way around.
If your measurement falls between sizes, we recommend sizing up for the best fit.

Easy Burnt / Hard Burnt
Easy burnt
The easy burnt patination process is used to remove woolly fibers from the surface, resulting in a smoother, softer texture. This treatment refines the material while maintaining its flexibility, making the hat easier to handle and wear.
Each hat is carefully finished by hand, allowing for subtle variations in tone and texture that highlight the natural qualities of the material.
Hard Burnt
Some of our hats undergo a hard burnt patination process, giving the surface a leather-like texture with rich, organic variations. This treatment enhances the material’s depth and character, creating a finish that evolves over time.
Due to the nature of the hard burnt patina, the material may dry and/or wet bleed. This finish also makes the hats less suitable for folding, as the surface is more rigid compared to untreated styles.
Each piece is carefully hand-finished, resulting in subtle differences that make every hat unique.
Beaver felt material information
Beaver fur has been a valuable resource for centuries, prized for its dense under-fur, which is ideal for producing high-quality felt—especially for hats. This historical demand led to extensive trapping, significantly reducing beaver populations in some regions by the 19th century. Today, responsible management practices help sustain beaver populations while preserving their ecological role in creating wetlands and supporting biodiversity. As natural ecosystem engineers, beavers play a vital role in maintaining healthy habitats for diverse wildlife.
We collaborate with FEPSA, a renowned felt manufacturer in São João da Madeira, Portugal, known for producing premium hat felts. Our beaver felt is sourced through trusted suppliers who prioritize ethical and sustainable practices, including partnerships with Canadian producers. We are committed to working with materials that align with our values of quality, craftsmanship, and respect for their origins.
The felting process involves compressing and vibrating animal fibers under heat and water—a traditional method practiced for thousands of years.
We remain dedicated to using materials that reflect our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. For further questions or additional details, please feel free to reach out.
